All Catholics are welcome to join. One's "work" in the MI is simply to live the spirit of Total Consecration to Mary as taught by the saints and popes. The Crusaders try to bring the presence of Mary into their daily life, by offering up daily duties, prayers, sufferings, and good works for the conversion and sanctification of souls. Crusaders need not attend meetings, nor pay dues, nor follow complicated rules.
Your goal as a Crusader is to seek conversion of poor sinners and those who have not met Jesus Christ yet, especially the enemies of the Holy Church and seek the unity of all Christian and sanctification of all people under the protection of Mary Immaculate.
As a Crusader of Mary Immaculate you will:
1) Consecrate yourself completely to Mary Immaculate and be an instrument of Her Will (official act of consecration)
2) Wear the Miraculous Medal, which is a sign of your consecration to Mary Immaculate.
3) Enrol yourself in the Crusade in your canonical region (National Crusade Centre, Redclyffe Road, Urmston, Manchester, M41 7LG UK)
4) Say daily Miraculous Medal invocation prayer:
"O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to You, and for all who do not have recourse to You, especially the enemies of the Church and those recommended to You".
5) Utilise all possible means (appropriate to your status, conditions, circumstances) such as prayer, acts of penance and faithful Christian life - at the disposal of Mary Immaculate
6) Try to encourage the devotion to Mary Immaculate and Her Miraculous Medal.
